Computer Cases

When buying a computer case there is pretty much one thing you should worry about. To get an ATX case with the power supply above 400w, preferably at least 500w power supply. Today's hardware needs much more power than before, and if you do not get proper power supply your computer will not work. Go with at least 500w power supply, and you will have nothing to worry about, unless you want to install top of the line graphic card.

The other thing to consider when buying an ATX case would be to chose to proper looks of the case and also to make sure that it has enough space to accommodate your needs. There are tons of websites that sell computer cases, so it is up to you to do a research and find that perfect looking computer case that will suit your taste.

Price of computer cases varies a lot, from $20-$200 (and above), and some even have air conditioning built in. But as a guideline try not to spend over $50 for a computer case. There are many cool looking cases in the $50 price range with 500w power supply.

Important: If you are thinking of installing one of the latest graphic cards, you will need at least a 600 watts power supply. Unfortunately powerful power supplies can get really expensive. Right now 700 watts power supply (note that this is the price for power supply only, not including the case) costs over $100, and more powerful ones over $300.
